The route of the Rail Baltica European-gauge railroad will promote new industrial areas in Latvia, RB Latvija, the company responsible for implementation of the project, reported.
According to RB Latvija expert Neils Balgalis, after the construction of the Rail Baltica route, there will be two railway infrastructures in Latvia and in places where both railroads cross, there is an opportunity for further development of industrial territories. Such new zones can be developed in the Salaspils, Incukalns, and Olaine regions with cargo terminals and warehouses.
