VILNIUS – A total of almost 300 vehicles were waiting to leave Lithuania on the country's borders with Belarus and Russia on Monday morning, the country's State Border Guard Service said.
"There are queues of outbound vehicles at three points. There are around 160 vehicles waiting in Medininkai on the border with Belarus, and that last vehicle will have to wait 4 hours to leave. In Salcininkai, there are eight vehicles, with the waiting time of around one hour," Giedrius Misutis, spokesman for the SBGS, told BNS.
"Around 1000 vehicles are waiting to leave at Kybartai border checkpoint on the border with Russia, with the waiting time standing at around 10 hours," he said.
There were no queues on Lithuania's borders with Latvia and Poland at 8 a.m. today.
According to Misutiss, nine vehicles were barred from leaving the country over the past 24 hours, and also 27 people were not allow to enter Lithuania.
Since Lithuania was placed under quarantine on March 15, a total of 527 people have not been allowed to enter and 307 people were barred from leaving.
