The morning of Monday March 21, saw 20 protesters gather outside the Russian Embassy in Riga to voice their support for Ukrainian Airforce pilot Nadiya Savchenko, who is currently on trial in Russia.
The protestors are silently holding photographs of Savchenko, and posters in the colours of the Latvian and Ukrainian flags.
Latvian MP, Einars Cilinskis, from the nationalist conservative National Alliance is among the protesters.
The protest was organised by the Latvian Congress of Ukrainians.
