Prosecutors ask for Lithuanian Labour Party's case to be sent back to appeals court

VILNIUS - The Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office is asking the country's Supreme Court to return the Labour Party's fraudulent bookkeeping case to the Court of Appeals for rehearing. The Supreme Court today started hearing appeals made by the participants of the proceedings. Algirdas Miskinis, a lawyer for Labour Party founder Viktor Uspaskich, believes that sending the case back to the Court of Appeals will further delay the proceedings.
