The Latvian Prosecutor General’s Office chose to prosecute Ugis Magonis, a former CEO of Latvijas Dzelzcels (LDz, Latvian Railways), for accepting a 499,500-euro bribe and Estonian millionaire Oleg Ossinovski for having given the bribe, LETA was told.
The Prosecutor General’s Office did not release any names in its statement, but announced that a prosecutor from the department of especially important cases had started prosecution against two persons, a state official and private individual.
