RIGA - Prime Minister Evika Silina (New Unity) has expressed her condolences to the people of Sweden over the shooting at an educational center.
The politician stressed that there is no place for such violence in our society, especially in schools.
President Edgars Rinkevics also expressed his condolences, stressing that violence in all its forms must be condemned, and Latvia stands in solidarity with Sweden at this time.
As reported, at least nine people were killed in a shooting at an educational establishment in Orebro in central Sweden on Tuesday, local police chief Roberto Eid Forest, said at a news conference
The shooter is also dead.
The number of people injured in the shooting is not yet known.
