RIGA - Prime Minister Evika Silina (New Unity) and President Edgars Rinkevics wish people to meet friends they have not met for a while and to keep the warmth of their hearts this Christmas.
Silina on social media said in her Christmas greetings that wishes for people to meet friends they not met for a while and to give joy to someone who is currently lacking support, or just for the sack of goodness. The Prime Minister also wishes to greet neighbors and give thanks to the friends and family in their lives.
At the same time, the Prime Minister invites people to appreciate the opportunity to be, to live and to call Latvia home.
She concludes her greetings with a wish to believe that "God is able to turn all things to good".
Rinkevics, for his part, calls for seeing the light and keeping the warmth of the heart. "May the darkness invite you to see the light. Let the warmth of the heart conquer the cold," Rinkevics said. The President also wished "that the whirlwind of events helps to let go of the superfluous" and "that the rush of everyday life turns into peace".
