RIGA - Latvian President Egils Levits met with Transport Minister Talis Linkaits (New Conservative Party) and discussed development of transport network that is attractive for business and the society, the President's Chancellery reported.
The president showed interest in the Rail Baltica project, development of railway and public transport system, state and EU funds financing for maintenance of roads, and recent developments in the taxi cab sector.
During the meeting Levits thanked the transport minister for its current progress in solving different issues in the sector.
