RIGA - Latvian law enforcement authorities have started an inquiry into an incident in which the Russian embassy building in Riga was doused with red paint, State Police representative Ilze Jurevica informed LETA.
The person who doused the embassy building with red paint on Tuesday has been identified, Jurevica said, adding that the person has provided a statement to the police.
A police inquiry has been started into the incident.
As reported, on February 24 Russia launched a massive military offensive against Ukraine. The attack triggered worldwide protests, with many such protest actions being staged outside Russia's diplomatic missions in various countries of the world.
