RIGA - Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins (New Unity) will embark on a working visit to Brussels, Belgium, next Wednesday for meetings with top NATO and European Parliament officials, LETA was told at the prime minister's office.
In Brussels, Karins is scheduled to meet with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg to discuss preparations for the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius in July. That meeting will be followed by a news conference.
During his visit, the prime minister will meet also with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola to discuss further support to Ukraine, including opening talks on Ukraine's accession to the European Union (EU), the bloc's economic policy, relations with China and the US as well as other EU affairs.
