RIGA - Following the decision of the Latvian Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) to halt public funding for the Unity Party, the party’s members will be able to show how much they themselves want to back the party with membership fees, the party’s head Andris Piebalgs told LETA.
The politician said that the party received donations from individuals who regularly donate, but he has not determined any other means of attracting new donations as Unity does not have absolute power.
