RIGA - The Cabinet of Ministers decided today that persons who cross Latvia in transit, will have to do it in 12 hours after registration on covidpass.lv, LETA learned from the Interior Ministry.

Considering the current epidemiological situation in the country and spread of the new Covid-19 variant, it is important to reduce the time persons travelling in transit through Latvia spend in the Latvian territory.

Starting from February 15, persons have to cross the Latvian territory in 12 hours after registration on covidpass.lv.

Exceptions refer to the providers of transportation services, international passengers, air passengers, ship and air crews.
