Parlt committee approves Latvia's ambassador to OECD

The Latvian parliament foreign affairs committee at a closed meeting today approved Ivita Burmistre as Latvia’s Ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).  Burmistre, who currently heads the Foreign Ministry Economic Relations and Development Co-operation Policy Department, was also present at the Saeima committee meeting to inform lawmakers about Latvia’s ongoing accession to the OECD and answer their questions.  At the closed part of the meeting, lawmakers inquired Burmistre and approved her ...
