Outgoing PM Straujuma reveals possible successor

Upon his return to office on January 6, 2016, Latvian President Raimonds Vejonis will interview two members from the Unity party for the position of Prime Minister. The news was confirmed by outgoing Latvian PM, Laimdota Straujuma on the Latvian national TV channel, LNT on January 6, 2016. Straujuma stated the first candidate to be interviewed by Vejonis will be Finance Minister Janis Reirs.
