Ott Tänak invested in the Forus Taxi platform

On the first anniversary of Forus Taxi, world rally champion Ott Tänak joined the owners of the company and invested in Forus Taxi since he believes in the strength, success, and uniqueness of its vision.

Ott Tänak, who has invested in the Forus platform, appreciates the opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of a new ambitious enterprise: “Urmas’s intention to create a platform together with a community that contributes to its growth, and to pass a part of the success story on to the owners, is truly unique. My investment in Forus demonstrates the belief that, together with all the users who are also co-owners, we can move towards something much bigger. Whatever I do, I have always strived for excellence, and since our ambitions are much larger than merely a taxi business, I am happy to be a part of their implementation.”

According to Forus founder Urmas Sõõrumaa, everyone who collects US Tokens is also part of the Forus ownership circle, and starting today, world rally champion Ott Tänak is also one of them: “Ott is so meticulous in everything he does that will be great to promote the Forum with him as a partner. All users of our service will certainly benefit from this.”

The head of the Forus Taxi platform Eduard Dubrovski said that the first year of work was successful, but at the same time not always easy: “Truly innovative things are rarely created. We are not going to copy the solutions already used, but rather do everything in our own way to create an experience that our competitors simply do not have. For example, in the coming days we will introduce to users a new Forus Deal category, which will fundamentally change the principle of ordering a suitable taxi at an affordable price. The Forus Deal category allows the customer and the driver to agree on the price of the ride without the application calculating it or using a price multiplier.”

According to Sander Sõõrumaa, the head of US Token, the new solutions and improvements to the application are largely based on the feedback of the owners: “Our circle of owners already includes over 18,000 people, each of whom can set the direction of the platform development and has the right to vote. Even today, the ideas of the co-owners of the platform make an important contribution to software development. Every thoughtful observation helps the Forus community as a whole. In the end, the customers find the right vehicle faster and drivers can earn more money. Through US Token, we transfer 30% of the platform to customers and partners as well as create a community where everyone belonging to it wins.”

30 million US Tokens have been issued, accounting for 30% of the platform’s business to date. Ott Tänak’s investment does not reduce the share of US Tokens in the company.

Forus Taxi is an Estonian-established service platform that currently operates in three countries and a total of 18 cities: Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Haapsalu, Rakvere, Viljandi, Narva, Jõhvi, Kohtla-Järve, Sillamäe, Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Riga, Jurmala, Liepaja, Daugavpils and Alytus.
