RIGA - Internationally renowned singer Slava will be performing for the first time in Riga at Dome Cathedral in what should be a breathtaking concert.

The Belorussian alto will be performing Vivaldi's Stabat Mater and other baroque music along with the Latvian Chamber Orchestra on April 3.
Vyatcheslav Kagan-Paley, who performs under the name Slava, was born in Belorussia in 1976. As a child he studied the violin and piano, but went on to become an alto after studying singing in Minsk and London. His talents attracted the attention of Leonard Bernstein, who wanted to collaborate with the young singer, but the composer's death meant it never happened. Slava performs regularly in Europe, and resides in Tel Aviv. o
