(In)tolerance and (in)correct interpretation

Browsing at a bookstore recently in the nonfiction aisle, a particular book caught my eye. As is my habit, I flipped to the index to see what mention, if any, the book made of Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania. There was nothing under the first two, or anything under "Baltics," but Lithuania was shown as being the topic of some eight pages or so in the third.
