RIGARaimonds Rozkalns, deputy head of the Constitution Protection Office, Latvia's top security agency, has been appointed temporary head of the agency until a new director is found.Lainis Kamaldins stepped down as director April 28 as expected.The Saeima (Latvia's parliament) is this week considering appointing Janis Kazocins, a retired British military officer of Latvian descent, as the agency's new director.
