JELGAVAAn ailing former Soviet security official accused of genocide on March 4 categorically denied his guilt in deporting over 500 Latvians during the Soviet rule in 1949.Nikolai Larionov, 80, is being charged with genocide after signing documents that served as grounds for deporting over a hundred Latvian families to remote areas in the Soviet Union where many of them met their death. In court Larionov merely said, "I did not want to sign those orders, the rulers made me to do it."
