TALLINNA Dutch tanker carrying up to 5,000 tons of light diesel fuel went aground in Miiduranna Port not far from Tallinn on Jan. 7.According to reports, the ship ignored the port authorities' orders and got stuck for about 13 hours due to tough ice conditions.Urmas Kohv, spokesman for Estonian border guards, said the Saxen, a double-hull Dutch oil tanker sailing under the Antillian flag, ran aground as a result of ice regime violation.The tanker's captain decided to ignore the order of port authorities to get in line for the shipping lane that an icebreaker was to provide, and as a result ...
