The number of tourists staying in Jurmula grew by 11 percent over the first six months of the year. Jurmula city council tourism and external relations section heard Armands Muiznieks said the number of Russian tourists increased 118 percent compared to the same period last year. Hotels, motels and sanatoriums in Jurmula accommodated 4,195 tourists from Russia during the six months, up from only 1,919 for the same period last year.
