TARTU - After their latest performance at the end of October for a rousing crowd in Tartu, Estonian band Odd Hugo are set to go on tour in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium from November 13th to December 1st. Their 14-concert “Learning New Songs” tour will kick off in Utrecht on November 13th and take them to venues in cities including Antwerp, Berlin and Leipzig.

Their hit single “Stone Man” catapulted them into the national spotlight, soon followed by appearances at prestigious events like Tallinn Music Week in 2013 and Vilnius Music Week in 2014. Their haunting ballads like “Three Bullets” and brassed-up indie bluegrass infusion has gotten the attention of fans and critics alike - their song “Kissing in the Falling Rain” recently landed on the Indie Folk playlist on Spotify that includes such musicians as Damien Rice, and their music has been compared to that of The National and Tom Waits. The band is helping to lead the charge of Baltic music abroad, with bands like Ewert and the Two Dragons and the Sound Poets already having gathered international acclaim.

Odd Hugo’s self entitled first album “Odd Hugo” was nominated for the Best Debut Album at the 2014 Estonian Music Awards. The band has also received Skype’s Go Change the World Award, which was set up by Skype in order to further promote the musical career of the winner of the award.
