Latvia has recorded its first snowfall of the season today.
Light snow was observed in he Latgale Province, south Latvia this morning, the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center reports.
Wet snow was also registered by meteorologists in Griskani and Daugavpils. The snow will not remain for long, as air temperatures will rise, LETA reports.
Meteorologists forecast that snow might also appear next week, however, due to higher temperatures there will be no accumulation.
Temperatures in eastern Latvia and Vidzeme Province fell slightly below 0 degrees Celsius this morning.
