Swedbank named most valuable firm in Baltics in new report

The Swedbank Group, with company value of 3.2 billion euros, is the most valuable enterprise in the Baltic States, a new report shows. 

A list of the ten most valuable Baltic companies compiled by investment banking and financial advisory company Prudentia and stock exchange Nasdaq Riga was revealed today.

Latvian President Andris Berzins congratulated Swedbank group and other firms during an award ceremony today in Riga.

Berzins said Baltic firms were becoming more prominent in fields in various sectors.

Tallink Grupp-  company value:1.85 billion euros,SEB banka group -  1.64 billion euros.Estonian energy company Eesti Energi:  1.41 billion euros Latvian energy company Latvenergo: 1.3 billion euros Trade company Maxima Grupe: 976.4 million euros Lithuanian energy company Lietuvos Energija: 944.5 million euros Lithuanian railway company Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai: 891 million eurosOil product terminal operator Vopak E.O.S: 846.4 million eurosLatvian State Forests: 801.3 million euros.
