Alexander restaurant on the small Estonian island of Muhu has been voted among the top 50 restaurants in the world. The Diners Club World’s 50 Best Restaurants Club annually announces a list of the world’s best restaurants, ranked from 1 to 50 by the 900 expert members of the academy.

Each region in the world has its own voting panel of 36 members, including chefs, restaurateurs, food critics and gourmands. The restaurant was chosen among the 8 venues in North East Europe.
Alexander restaurant serves as a hotel restaurant for the historic Padaste manor.
The kitchen prepares delicious food from the Nordic islands, inspired by the cooking traditions of Muhu and the surrounding islands and valuing local traditions and the diverse tastes of different seasons, reads its Web site. Inspired surroundings certainly inspire good food.
