Bitcoin now accepted currency on airBaltic

RIGA - Commenting on the decision by Latvia’s national airline airBaltic to accept Bitcoins as payment for its tickets, most Latvian companies say that they are not planning to use the virtual currency in their business dealings, indicating that Bitcoin is a comparatively new payment system, hence, untried, possibly unsafe and with minimal demand, reports Nozare.lv.Maxima, one of the largest retailers in Latvia that also sells its products online under the name ‘e-Maxima,’ does not plan on accepting Bitcoin anytime soon either.
