Belarus, Lithuania seek closer business ties during meeting

Belarus and Lithuania could implement major infrastructure projects in the future, Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich has said.

 "We can seek to embark on more serious projects, infrastructure projects," said Myasnikovich.

Lithuanian foreign minister Linas Linkevicius, who is on a working visit to Belarus, stressed that the two countries need to maintain and nurture the bilateral relations and respect each others international positions.

Other issues discussed during the meeting included Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation and the interaction between Belarus and the EU. In February 2014,  Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei visited Vilnius on the invitation of his Lithuanian counterpart.
