UEFA investigates alleged match fixing in Latvia

The European Football Federation (UEFA) has launched an investigation into claims of alleged match fixing in a recent Latvian Football League game.

The Latvian Football Federation revealed that a match played between football clubs Jurmala and Daugavpils Daugava on July 7 is under investigation. Daugava won the game 3-2. 

In a statement, the Latvian Football Federation said it was prepared to fully cooperation with UEFA in its investigation.

Both teams have been suspected of several match fixing instances before, LETA reports.
