With most deputy ministers in the Lithuanian government having resigned on Thursday, the process continued on Friday.
On Friday, Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas, Rolandas KrišÄiÅ«nas, Andrius Krivas and Vytautas LeškeviÄius submitted resignation letters to Minister Linas LinkeviÄius.
This is the continuation of the ruling majority’s idea to dismiss all deputy ministers before the Government returns powers to re-elected President Dalia GrybauskaitÄ—.
The Ministries of Culture, Education and Science, Economy, Justice, Social Security and Labour, the Interior, Transport and Communications, and Environment approved resignation of deputy ministers earlier.
