Branson invests in local start-up

Estonian start-up company TransferWise, which offers the services of international payments and foreign exchange, will receive from venture capital firms and private investors 18.4 million euros, with new investors including Virgin Group owner Richard Branson, reports Postimees.TransferWise, created by Estonian businessmen Taavet Hinrikus and Kristo Kaarmann, announced a new capital raising round, with the help of which they plan to double the number of staff by the middle of 2015.
