President Dalia Grybauskaite of Lithuania announced that Poland has agreed to sell to Lithuania its anti-aircraft missile system ‘Grom,’ reports ELTA.

"We received news that Poland has agreed to sell us the Grom systems," the president said.

According to the head of state, she will speak to Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius about budget amendments in the nearest future which would enable Lithuania to purchase these missile systems.

"The dialogue is underway as planned. Tomorrow I am going to speak to the prime minister about budget amendments; I know that the minister [Minister of National Defense Juozas Olekas] also spoke to him. I hope that the government will submit a proposal in this session as the equipment has to be purchased already," the president urged.
