Russian tank maker to set up Latvian production

Reports are that a Jelgava rail freight car factory south of Riga is being built by the world's largest tank manufacturer – none other than the Russian company Uralvagonzavod - which the Constitutional Protection Bureau warns it poses a serious risk factor for the region. The story was carried on the TV3 investigative news magazine "Neka Personiga" on May 18, reports LETA.The broadcast reported that Uralvagonzavod entered Latvia as a rail freight car manufacturer, without mentioning its major military engineering and tank manufacturing operations.Uralvagonza...
