Crimean invasion forces Kirill visit postponement

The scheduled visit to Latvia by the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, has been postponed indefinitely, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics confirmed to the LNT television channel on April 11, reports LETA. The earliest Patriarch Kirill could visit Latvia is this fall, Rinkevics said.Last week, President Andris Berzins asked Patriarch Kirill to postpone his visit to Latvia, originally planned for May, until a later date. Berzins' spokeswoman Liga Krapane said at the time that Berzins was not asking the patriarch to cancel his visit, but move it to a later date...
