On April 8 the commander of the Polish armed forces, General Mieczyslaw Gocol, will arrive on a visit to Latvia to speak with officials and discuss security matters in the Baltic region in wake of the events in Ukraine, reports LETA.
During his visit, the Polish general will meet with Defense Minister Raimonds Vejonis and the commander of the Latvian armed forces, General Raimods Graube. During the meetings, the military officials will discuss security matters in the Baltic region, as well as bilateral cooperation.
The Polish general will also get acquainted with the development plans of the National Armed Forces, as well as visit the Latvian Air force Base in Lielvarde.
