RIGA - Kekava Women’s Floorball Team scored a first last month when they reached the finals of the Latvian Elite League for the first time in their history. Having continually finished in third place in the last few seasons, they overcame current champions RSU to line up against Rubene for the best of seven game final to be played at Valmeiras Olympic Centre. As TBT went to press Rubene had taken a two game lead but with games scheduled for this coming weekend and the next, Kekava could be the 2013-14 champions.
