Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves embarked on a visit to Bulgaria on Monday, Jan. 20 to meet with President Rosen Plevneliev and attend an economic conference.
Following the state visit, Ilves will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, the president's chandlery reports.
In Sofia, President Ilves meets with President Rosen Plevneliev and they both attend an economic conference organised by weekly paper Kapital.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, President Ilves participates in panels focusing on economy, e-health, IT development and geopolitics. Ilves attends a session on Ukraine's future together with European Parliament President Martin Schulz and Ukrainian top politicians.
Estonia has been asked to be also a discussion leader in sessions on European competitiveness and digital infrastructure.
President Ilves has several bilateral meetings scheduled in Davos, including with OECD secretary general Angel Gurr.
