Belarusian Airline Bel Avia has launched a direct service from Vilnius to Minsk, reports ELTA.
Planes connecting the two cities will operate eight times a day, the airline says.
Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Lithuania. Vladimir Drazin said that the direct flights between the cities strengthen the cooperation between the countries.
Speaking at the launch of the first flight on Dec. 18, Drazin said: "From the very beginning of the restoration of Independence, Lithuania and Belarus started to actively cooperation in the sphere of economy (). Apart from the bilateral trade and investments, the service sector is very important as well (). The turnover of the transportation service will make up to 544 million euros."
