The Latvian national men's football team has move up three spots in the latest FIFA ranking to 116th.
In August of last year, Latvia was ranked 70th in the FIFA rankings. Latvia currently has 272 ranking points. Latvia first dropped to 119th, its lowest ever ranking, five months ago.
Since the previous rankings, Latvia has not played any matches. However, in November, Latvia played two friendly matches - a 0:3 loss to Ireland, and a 1:0 victory over English 'Championship league football club Yeovil ''Town, which was an unofficial friendly match and did not count towards the rankings.
Meanwhile, the Estonian side has moved up two spots in the ranking to 94th, whilst Lithuania has stayed put at 102nd.
Spain is ranked first in the rankings, followed by Germany, Argentina and Colombia.
Portugal is ranked fifth, followed by Uruguay, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Brazil.
