President congratulates swimmer on gold medals

Lithuania's President Dalia Grybauskaite congratulated swimmer Ruta Meilutyte on winning the gold medal n the women's 100-meter breaststroke, the gold medal in the 100-meter individual medley and the silver medal the in 50-meter breaststroke in Denmark.

UK based  Meilutyte won the medals at the European Short-Course Swimming Championships in Herning recently. 

"We admire your continuous perfections and self-confidence. The concentration and the drive which are leading to the victories are becoming the example not only for the sports' society but for the entire country. Your achievements inspire us to believe in ourselves and out country," said Grybauskaite.

According to the President, Ruta's victories in Denmark were as the great Christmas present for all Lithuania's people.
