Thousands of people have paid tribute to victims of the Riga supermarket tragedy on Sunday, Nov. 24.
At least 54 people have died and dozens injured after the Maxima supermarket roof collapsed on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 21
Today, passers by laid flowers, candles and messages of support for the victims of the tragedy which is being regarded as the biggest disaster in recent Latvian history.
Rescue operations continue at the site whilst cranes will be razing the building. An investigation is currently ongoing in to the causes of the collapse, although its believed the construction of a winter garden on the markets roof may have been the cause.
Latvia is observing a day of mourning until Nov. 25.
