Latvian foreign minister Edgars Rinkevics will visit Moscow on Nov. 19-21, reports LETA
Rinkevics will meet with Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss EU-Russia cooperation and security issues, including better border crossing plans.
The sixth meeting of the Latvia-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical, Humanitarian, and Cultural Cooperation will also be held. Key agreements on border crossing and aviation search and rescue plans will be signed.
The Foreign Ministry said it would devote special attention to matters related to the enhancement of the capacity of border crossing points, the development of border area infrastructure and prospects for cooperation in the transport and transit sector.
