Swedbank hars urged its cutomers to be on high alert after a series of online breaches.

Internet banking had been closed off for customers whilst the bank urged its members to review their passwords.

A secure password should consist of random letters and numbers. For more security, residents should also use both upper-case and lower-case letters, including different symbols and punctuation signs. It is also possible to use a whole sentence as a password.

Swedbank’s internet banking service access has a three-level security system – an identification number, the client’s chosen password and code calculator or code card. In order to help the bank provide the maximum possible level of security, clients are urged to regularly change passwords.

Password change is carried out on the internet banking page. Customers need to keep in mind that bank representatives never ask clients to provide information regarding their passwords or codes.

Clients can request the restoration of access by dialling +37167444444 to contact Swedbank services.
