According to Lithuania’s Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius, the construction of the Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) terminal is taking place in accordance with the plan, reports ELTA.

Butkevicius made such a declaration after the comment by member of the Seimas Eugenijus Gentvilas, in which he stated that it was impossible to build the LNG terminal on time.

Butkevicius highlighted that the construction of the LNG terminal was taking place on schedule. “I was surprised when Gentvilas started to speak about that. I understood that he is the person who is afraid, because he as director general of SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority has started neither the dredging works nor any other projects,” said Butkevicius while giving an interview on national radio LRT.
