High heels hit the runway

Riga Fashion Week has gotten off to a glamorous start, with the models strutting their stuff on the catwalk.

Riga hosts the most important event in the Latvia’s fashion industry - RIGA FASHION WEEK - from Oct. 29 till Nov. 2. The exhibition hall Riga Art Space is the main venue, with some events taking place in other fabulous places, say the organizers.

Local as well as foreign fashion designers will present their pret-a-porter spring/summer 2014 collections.

This season’s style can be described as the avant-garde minimalism of the 60s. The graduates of the Riga Fashion & Photo School, young talents – photographer Alexandra Bubnova and stylist Jekaterina Mirmanova – are the authors of the RFW image.

The photography was taken within Fashion styling practical training course for photographers and stylists under the direction of the school’s teachers – Oleg Zernov and Olga Kolotova. Model Vlada Horoshevska (FREYJA Model Management) was honored to represent the image of the RFW SS 2014.
