VILNIUS - The Nanosatellite Lituanica SAT-1 is to be shipped to the U.S., to a NASA launch pad, where it is expected to blast off on a rocket into space on Dec. 8, reports ELTA.After Lituanica SAT-1 is launched into orbit around the Earth, it will then transmit the first Lithuanian words from space. Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite’s congratulatory message will be heard from high above the Earth.The satellite will be carrying out an investigation of space for nearly the next half year.
