International festival Vilnius City Fiesta, one of the most important multi-art form events in Vilnius, will start on Sept. 6, presenting the most spectacular events with high artistic level action dedicated to all citizens and city guests, reports LETA.
The Vilnius City Fiesta events draw numerous audiences, as they are open and free. Every year, more than 250,000 people are visiting its events, where there is a wide range of high-level entertainment from jazz, pop, rock and world music to classical music and opera, film programs, street theater, fashion shows and carnivals.
The Buzzing Avenue will be organized at Gedimino Avenue from the Cathedral Square to Lukiskiu Square from Sept. 6-8.
It has been eight years since Gedimino Avenue began to ‘buzz’ during the annual Vilnius City Fiesta and the meeting place cannot be changed.
The Buzzing Avenue is not a kind of village market, but a place full of cultural action, creative ideas, it’s a place where your wishes and fantasies can come true. Neighbors, friends and guests are met here.
On Sept. 6, at an opening concert, Latvian band Prata Vetra will perform. On Sept. 7, the Grand Live Concert will take place with Golden Parazyth from Lithuania and Touch and Go (the UK) performing on stage.
On Sept. 8, the Grand Final Concert with Antis of Lithuania will take place at the Cathedral Square. From 11:00 – 16:00, the Festival of the Lithuanian association of people with disabilities will take place at the Cathedral Square.
