Peres puts focus on future

While talking about relations with Israel, Lithuania’s Speaker of the Seimas Vydas Gedvilas agreed with the opinion of President of Israeli Shimon Peres that all the glances have to be thrown towards the future. “I think that the president of Israeli is completely right,” said the speaker while giving an interview on radio Ziniu Radijas on July 30.

Gedvilas reiterated about his meeting with the representatives of the Israeli-Lithuania Friendship Association Israelita, where they discussed the same issues of the forgotten past and thoughts about the future.

“They fear the relation between Israeli and Lithuania to be severed. They fear the cooperation to be ended in the future and wish that our youth will go to Israeli with various projects and Israeli young generation will visit Lithuania as well,” said Gedvilas.
