To use or not to use stabilization funds

TALLINN - Parties within the ruling government are at loggerheads over whether or not to use cash from the stabilization fund to provide emergency support for farmers. The Parliament passed a bill Oct. 27, that authorizes the government to take a loan from the fund to help out farmers and agricultural producers and compensate them for their losses. Although the government is against the use of cash, the bill was initiated by members of the Coalition Party and the Country People's Alliance from the ruling minority coalition.
