Simonyte to join central bank

VILNIUS - Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite has appointed the former Minister of Finance Ingrida Simonyte to become the deputy chairwoman of the board of the central bank, reports ELTA. She starts work at the Bank of Lithuania on July 10.This candidature was agreed to, with the Advisory Council presenting recommendations on the appointment of the board members, by a board that is composed of Lithuania’s prominent economists and other authorities in financial and business circles.The 38-year-old Simonyte finished her business administration Bachelor’s studies at ...
