RIGA - Latvian authorities believe they have identified the ship responsible for releasing the oil that recently washed ashore five kilometers from Ventspils."When the ship arrives at the next port, we intend to take samples of the oil on board to see if our suspicions are correct," said Environment Minister Indulis Emsis.The name of the ship is not being released until further evidence is gathered so as to not hinder the investigation.If their suspicions turn out to be correct, Latvian authorities intend to press charges.
